BRANCEPETH ARCHIVES AND HISTORY GROUP
In 2006 a small group of people who share an interest in village history came together with the aim of recording the past and present history of Brancepeth Parish (which included many surrounding villages prior to the mid 1800's).
A lottery grant enabled the purchase of computer equipment so that all material is digitally recorded. A longer-term aim is to develop an on-line catalogue in a searchable format to enable easy access by interested people.
If you have any information about the village, or know anyone who has links here (past or present) do please tell us.
MEMBERSHIP
The Group is a Section under the constitution of Brancepeth Community Association. Membership is open to any resident of the present Brancepeth Parish. Anyone who wishes to join but who lives outside the present Parish should contact a member of the Committee.
MEETINGS
These normally take place in Brancepeth Village Hall.
General meetings of all members are held periodically.
Occasional open meetings with guest speakers are advertised.
Open days with an exhibition are held approximately every 2 years and are advertised.
For more information, please contact any member of the Committee.
